Hello Fellow Artists, Isn’t this weather nice? I love the fall. It is nice after the warmth of summer to feel the cool breezes. Please take time to visit the Art Fest this weekend at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium from 9-4. Show your support of those who are participating. It is a wonderful gathering of talent! And it is a part of the Woodland to Beaches tour! On Saturday, October 22nd, the Santa Rosa Art Association will sponsor a Polymer Clay Workshop in building 4900 of the Milton Campus of PJC from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. The presenting artist, Danielle Engert will have kits on sale for $3.00 including all supplies required. Danielle will be doing a demonstration and teach how to make the owl (the size of a pendant) out of polymer clay. The kit will include your clay, a headpin and the use of her paints and sealer. She will be baking the owls and you will leave with a completed pendant. Danielle has a A.S. degree in Graphic Design and is currently working on her Bachelor's of Studio Art from the University of West Florida. She is a self taught jewelry designer and enjoys mixed media. Come and have FUN! I issued a challenge to the artists at the last meeting and that was to create a house/home in any medium to share at the October 22, 2011 meeting. Come and see what the members have created!
