From the President: Doesn’t it seem like FOREVER since the November workshop with Jan? Many of you were really inspired by her "out of the box" use of paint. Please, please bring your creations to the meeting this Saturday. Let’s see how many different ways we interpreted her pouring techniques. I hope you all survived the Arctic Clipper without any damage to pipes and minimal to vegetation. I think we might have lost our orange tree but hopefully we can prune it and it will come back.

We have received applications from teachers for our Grants and Paula will assemble her committee shortly to decide who will receive the grants.

You know, we have the facility at the PJC campus all day on our meeting days; if there is ever a workshop that you do not want to participate in, we invite you to bring your other medium and work along side those "workshopping." I would like to encourage all of us to create together as much as possible.

PROFILE - This month our featured artist is our Librarian, Sandi Lang. How many of you knew that Sandi once lived in Iceland? We need to hear her story about that...... Sandi is well known for her beautiful felting, but she is also a painter, does gourd art, quilts and works with polymer clay. She is inspired by color and has been creating since her first fascination with the colors in her box of crayons. - This month our featured artist is our Librarian, Sandi Lang. She has done a fabulous job with the Library so far this year and we await what delights she has for us next with her "library budget" that she discovered!!!

Announcements: You have probably received the notice that the SRACF took under advisement the plea from many to move the date of Riverwalk and the new date will now be MAY 23/24 . Wow! Warm weather. Perhaps some of you who have left this venue will now reconsider.
